The Blue Mounds region, just west of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, has long been held sacred. The natural beauty of the rolling land, forested hillsides and commanding views invites our full potential to shine forth. The mission of the center is the promotion of grassroots spirituality.
Grassroots spirituality includes the four core values:
Our belief is that personal growth is most fulfilling when it is held in the context of the greater whole. This Boddhisattvic belief is a guiding principle of our work at the Blue Mounds Dharma Center.

Prior to working with Scott I had a long history of overuse injuries from running and swimming. I was an admitted skeptic as to how yoga might help based on past experiences with it. Scott's knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology coupled with yoga and his own knowledge of various sports like running and swimming is like nothing I have ever experienced with any coach or physical therapist. We worked one-on-one to approach a solution to my functional movement problems. Not only did yoga therapy with Scott resolve various chronic injury issues, but he was able to give me invaluable assistance in altering my swimming and running biomechanics to prevent further injury. When I came under the tutelage of a new triathlon coach, Scott was able to integrate yoga therapy with the movement prescriptions of my new coach. The synergism has allowed me to begin to move to the next level in my training and competition.

Although yoga is usually thought to be a means of gaining flexibility, yoga with Scott has given me both strength and flexibility, something beyond what yoga typically provides. In six months with Scott, I've made more progress than from 20 years of working with other teachers. (And my other teachers were marvelous!) Scott is, by his own admission, an anatomy nerd, and has the uncanny ability to put all the pieces of a body together in such a wholistic way that there never is a sense of tightening one part of the body while loosening another. He can watch me breathe and tell which organs are being pinched at the expense of others and has a take-home remedy each time. He can watch the way I walk and diagnose, by watching my feet, what's going on with my shoulders and neck. Perhaps the best of all is that Scott truly loves his work, and his passion shines through, whether in classes, private lessons, or five-day workshops.
